I've seen it before but haven't tried it until now and it's so easy! Here is my first Polyvore: Fall Essentials 2012. It's officially fall now, time to put away the shorts and tanks and bring out the boots, coats and scarves. My favorite fall items are scarves and boots. I even wore these during the summer a few times like in this outfit from my past post .  I love all types of scarves. Thick scarves like this one   from Urban Outfitters is great for outdoors. I find that these are the warmest. Whenever I'm

Lake, Lake, Lake

It's almost October. The sun is still shining and I'm still wearing shorts and dresses. Isn't it fall already? I need to put my boots and scarfs to use! If you saw my last post , you saw this outfit in my "outfit of the week" video. I spent my Friday down by the local lake where they have all sorts of boating activities. I opted for a nice walk around the park and lunch at the cafe. I did get a chance to take a few pictures though! ( Jacket: Forever 21 // Dress: Forever 21 // Necklace: Forever 21 // Shoes: Cotton On ) This summer, I was all about the high-low look, like in my very first post . I actually found this dress in black first but really wanted it in this tan color. At the time, they didn't have my size so I just got the black one. A few weeks later, I found a tan one at a different Forever 21! I was super excited! It is a simple high-low dress with braided thin straps and tightened at the waist. I added a black braided belt also from Forever 21. I ma

Emmy Awards 2012 / Outfit of the Week Video!

Oh award season. The time for celebs to get glammed up and win little statues. The 64th Emmy Awards were this weekend and again, I had to sum up my favorite looks from the night. The Emmys event is for television series'. This includes comedy and even reality. Most of my usual shows were on hiatus for the summer but luckily, a couple are coming back at the end of September/beginning of October! Here are some of my favs from the night!   Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier Even after having kids, Heidi looks as amazing as ever. I think this color dress with her blonde dress look so good together. The cut of the dress seems to be made for her body. Honestly, how many people can rock a super low cut gown with not one, but TWO slits on each side of the leg? Obviously only this super model can. Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen Kelly looks great in lavender. The mermaid style complements her well and I like the one shoulder sleeve. Zac Posen always does fantastic red carpet dresses and this is o

Work Hard. Play Hard.

Greetings all! It is finally Friday! After a long week of work, I'm sure everyone's thinking about the weekend already! It's been a busy week, working on tons of upcoming new things for my blog. Be sure to stay posted! Some things that are super fun about my job are dressing and styling mannequins. I also like the merchandising aspect of it but the mannequins are the best part. We recently got new soft-form mannequins that are completely new to us. Before, we've always used polystyrene mannequins like these . Now we use both! I had the liberty of being the first person to dress the new mannequins. This also meant unpacking them from the boxes and assembling. It was pretty easy, just took a while. Once I got them assembled, I pulled all the clothes that needed to be on the mannequins, steamed them and started dressing. Here are some pictures! Before. Completely assembled and ready to go! 6 pack, wolfpack. Don't worry about the legs, the pants just sit at the waist!

Kimono? Kimo-yes!

Just when I thought I could put the shorts away, summer decides to stay a little longer. Woo! This weather has been so off and on though. I don't get it! The mornings will be super cold, mid-day will be hot and then nights will be cold again. Make up your mind Mother Nature! With that said, I apologize in advance for the lighting in some of the photos. It was so bright and sunny today! I love the print on this kimono. Granted, it is a kimono style so the print is floral. It is a really light material, helps for hot day. The 3/4 length sleeve is nice because it won't drag when I write or work. The sleeves are wide, creating a boxy look. When my arms are down, the sleeves just drape and this helps style the outfit more. The colors work with so much of my wardrobe so it was easy to find a matching top. The top is a racerback tank. I love the light pink pastel color. There are layers of different fabrics on the front, making a ruffle look. There is actually a little bit of this sam

Rascal Flatts Concert!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Sun is still shining here in California but nights are freezing! This weekend I went to the Rascal Flatts: Changed concert featuring Little Big Town, Eli Young band and Eden's Edge. I've been to their concerts every Summer for the past 3 years. It's funny because when I was younger, I used to not like country music. I never really gave it a shot until high school and Rascal Flatts was the first country band I liked. Don't get me wrong, I still like pop, R&B and hip hop type music but something about country music lyrics that draws me in. Anyways, I had a great time and wanted to share some photos from that night! Eden's Edge I rarely get to a concert early but my friend and I got there maybe half an hour before the opening acts were suppose to start. We found some good seats, fairly close and at a good angle. Perks of getting there early! Eli Young Band Little Big Town At concerts, the performers just sing and then they are don

The last of Fashion Week 2013

These designer's didn't have their collections out before my last post so here is part 2 of the end of New York Fashion Week! Again, I picked out some of my favorites from each designer. I can already predict some trends for Spring 2013! Photos from Style.com Anna Sui First, I love the colored hair. It reminds me of the dip dye trend this Summer. This  website has cool how-to's and pictures of dip dye hair. Her collection has so much detail and texture. The texture comes from the use of different fabrics. Every time I see clothes with textured fabric or fur, I feel like I have to touch it. Anyone else get that way? Like on a fur vest or ruffled shirt, the fabric just pops and you have to just feel it. The light blue top has that vibe. It's nice to see the sweetheart cut coming back. Marchesa OH MY GOSH. What a collection. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out! Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have done it again. I've always loved their dress, which can be see
