Lake, Lake, Lake

It's almost October. The sun is still shining and I'm still wearing shorts and dresses. Isn't it fall already? I need to put my boots and scarfs to use! If you saw my last post, you saw this outfit in my "outfit of the week" video. I spent my Friday down by the local lake where they have all sorts of boating activities. I opted for a nice walk around the park and lunch at the cafe. I did get a chance to take a few pictures though!

This summer, I was all about the high-low look, like in my very first post. I actually found this dress in black first but really wanted it in this tan color. At the time, they didn't have my size so I just got the black one. A few weeks later, I found a tan one at a different Forever 21! I was super excited! It is a simple high-low dress with braided thin straps and tightened at the waist. I added a black braided belt also from Forever 21. I matched the black belt with my black wedges.

This look was great for a casual day. I thought it would be a good idea to wear the high-low to the lake because it was a little breezy and when there is wind, you can see the structure of the dress really well.
