Disney in Real Life

Image
(pictures via Google) Can you guess what this post is going to be about? Yep, following the theme of costumes and Halloween, I am showing you how my friend and I played dress up. What better than to use Disney as the inspiration? This photo shoot was put together in a short period so we only got to do 4 characters but I think they turned out great! For costumes, we just used our modern day clothes that we already had, like in my previous post . Then we accessorized them to match the characters and used props. We found a really cool location with great scenery, perfect for this theme. Figure out what this is yet? Belle from Beauty and the Beast! Of course, I don't have her almond colored hair but I do have this yellow dress like hers! The dress has two layers of material, rayon on the bottom and sheer on top. I love the double layering. It gives it a really cute look. I paired it with matching yellow wedges. I've had these wedges for a while and only wore them a few t

Essie Nail Polish Review

Image
Essie "Soul Mate" If you follow me on instagram (@leshautecouture), you saw that I got a new nail polish by Essie about two weeks ago. Today, I am going to do a review on it because I'm going to be changing my nail polish later today! Oops, yes it's been two weeks and the polish looks awful now but I haven't had the time to change it, plus I couldn't pick a color I liked. When I do, be sure to check out what I picked on instagram and twitter (@leshautecouture). I'll post a picture. I've become a nail polish junkie lately so if anyone has suggestions on colors, I'd love to hear them! On to this Essie polish. The picture makes the color look really dark but it's similar to the color of wine. Here is what the bottle and color looks like. I wanted something that was close to a burgundy color,  which is a trending color for fall! Before I started applying the polish, I had to shake the bottle a lot. More than I usually do with my polis

Pink and dots

Image
Greetings all! It's Monday and the rain has finally graced us with its presence. It seems like it was a really long summer. Beginning of fall didn't feel like fall! So strange how we go from 90 degree heat to 50 degree rain in one week. I feel like I talk about weather a lot but that's only because it effects what I wear and when I can shoot!  I luckily was able to shoot this while the sun was still shining. I don't usually do bright colors but I love this shirt. It's a hot magenta color which is very unusual for me but I like it so I got it to try it out. The material is sheer of course with polka dots. The dots are actually stitched onto the fabric instead of printed so it has some texture. Around the collar lies two pieces of string for a necktie. I love the necktie look. It's been a popular trend lately and you can probably see it repeated in a few of my posts. You can tie it into a bow or leave the two pieces untied. I tied it into a little bow. This

Celeb Fashion Idol #1

Image
Mila Kunis No one can mistake these eyes for anyone else's. Introducing Mila Kunis: My celeb fashion idol #1. This is a new category where I will share my favorite celebrity looks and style. Media has a huge influence on how we dress. Main reason why companies have celebrities endorsements is to draw in buyers and a larger audience because celebrities have a fan base. For instance, Jennifer Aniston endorses Smart Water. Some people may chose Smart Water over a generic water company because Jen Aniston uses it. So many famous people have such great style, I just want to share this with you all! I chose Mila for many reasons. The pictures are self explanatory. She is gorgeous. Not only is she talented, but she such good red carpet style! Mila has a unique look to her. It draws you in and makes it hard to turn away. And I am sure she looks just as good without make up. Here are some red carpet looks that I love from her! Dress by Elie Saab @ the Emmys Dress by
