H&M x Maison Martin Margiela

Whoever came up with this idea of big designers collaborating with generic clothing stores is genius. More designers are catching onto this trend now. If you recall, Jason Wu worked with Target, Diane Von Furstenberg with Gap Kids and Baby, Narciso Rodriguez with Kohls and Missoni with Target. H&M have been known for their partnerships with Versace, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin and Jimmy Choo. The point of these collabs are to sell designer merchandise, for a cheaper price. This is beneficial to those who want to wear designer clothes at a less cost.
Collections like this don't last long in stores though. Each store gets a certain amount during shipment and that's all they will have. This is another reason why they are wanted items. Lucky for you all, Maison Martin Margiela just launched a line with H&M and is in stores now! Clothes range from $49.00 to $400.00, which still seems pricey but if you have seen the MMM high end line, that could probably just get you a scarf. This line includes mens, womens and accessories.
