Maroon Everything

Image
Hey hey everyone! Half way through the week. So close to the weekend! I just wanted to share a quick outfit post. I got to hang out with a really good friend yesterday and this was my outfit of the day! We were out and about so I just got a few pictures in the parking lot. We shopped and caught up and ate delicious food! It was such a nice day. The sun was out and it actually got to over 65 degrees at one point. It was a great outing and I had a lot of fun.   I've had this top for a while now and haven't worn it until yesterday. It was part of the H&M line featuring Lana Del Rey. I saw it in the ad campaign and really liked it. I couldn't find it in my size for the longest time but found it eventually later in the month. It's a mix of floral print and paint splashes? I think that's the best way to describe it haha The blouse has a peplum bottom and 3/4 sleeves.  My pants are also from H&M. There is some maroon on the blouse too so I thought they

Oscars Awards 2013

Ello! All award shows have led up to this... OSCARS! Woo. By now, celebs have had their run with hits and misses when it comes to fashion. They left the best for this night. Round of applause for everyone! I think there were only a few bad ones. Other than that, everyone seemed to look pretty spot on. High five to their stylists! A huge trend was lace. Neutral lace to bright lace. Another trend was long dresses with a train. Here are some of my favorites! Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra  Louise Roe Love the detail.  Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen  My second favorite! McQueen does Amanda well. I love everything about this! Sandra Bullock in Elie Saab Stacy Keibler in Naeem Khan She's not even a nominee in any of the award shows but always looks perfect. HOW?!  Olivia Munn Alicia Vikander I love this color! It looks amazing on the red carpet. The beading detailing is incredible! Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Hello face of Dior. Hot

Prada and Fendi Fall 2013

Image
Greetings Milan Fashion Week! As I am watching the last couple shows from Milan, I wanted to share these two collections with you. Both of these shows were crazy. Like out of the ordinary, original and creative. You may think it's weird but that is what makes it a good show. It makes you remember.  (pictures via www.style.com) Fendi Prada Prada  Prada's collection consisted of trench coat dresses with a big belt, lengths meeting at the knee and fur. The show started with a few coats and jackets made of fur. Even the accessories had fur! Fendi Fendi Fendi's show had fur, fur and animal skin of some sorts! Similar to Prada, the accessories even had fur. They also had fur coats and dresses. Another theme for this collection was alligator skin. Not sure if any of these are real but there was sure a lot of it! Check out these two shows if you have a chance. Both very futuristic looking and great! xo, Trisha

Chilly Days

So I don't know if it's just California but this weather is crazy. Can mother nature please make up her mind? Yesterday was raining and 50 degrees and today it is 64 degrees and sunshine. Even though it is bright and clear outside, it is still pretty chilly. You might say "well duh, it's winter". Yes it may be winter but it sure is feeling like spring already. Which is why today called for a cozy, warm sweater.  I guess today is the recover day from the rain. It has been breezy all afternoon. It's so hard to pick out what to wear nowadays! It's warm in the AM and freezing in the PM. It's been a laid back day today so I kept it simple.  This sweater is so comfy! I love the little white strip print. It buttons up also but I just wore it open. This is what I call a modern grandma sweater. It's not itchy like most wool sweaters though! It's actually pretty thick so I wore just a loose top underneath. You can't really tell but th

Jenny Packham Fall RTW 2013

Image
I love Jenny Packham because of how simple her dresses are. Styled correctly and it could be a great red carpet look too. They are elegant and sophisticated which are both great characteristics of ready-to-wear. I loved her show for Fall 2013. The collection flows very well and everything is cohesive. Here are a few of my favorites! (all pictures via www.style.com) I have been watching as many shows as I can! They are all so great! xo, Trisha

Marc Jacobs Fall 2013

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK! Woo, I've finally had time to watch some of the shows! Obviously I hope to one day attend fashion week but for now, the internet will do. One of my favorite designs is Marc Jacobs and I have been waiting all week to see his show. In my recent post , you guys know I think Marc Jacobs is fabulous. I mean, how many men can walk the red carpet in a pink skirt? Anyways, he is a genius and I love the Fall 2013 collection. The theme is very dark and monotoned which actually matched his collection. There were hints of metallic and sparkles. The clothes ranged from silk pajamas to fox scarves to high-waisted briefs. The idea of his show was to counter the ordinary. By that I mean he wanted to show the comfort of clothes and the not-so elaborated stuff. He took his bow in PJ's! How more comfortable can you get?! Here are some fits from the show.  All pictures via Style.com There was a lot of bare skin on the runway. He even sent a gir

Grammys 2013

Image
Hello hello! Welcome back to another Monday. Of all the award shows, my favorite is the Grammys. The performances are always so entertaining and the fashion is good. And this year, Justin Timberlake brought sexy back, again. Couldn't miss that! There were so many good looks from the red carpet! I heard they had a ridiculous dress code this year. Who has a dress code at an award show?! I give props to those who stretched their fashion limits.  As always, I have picked out my favorites to share with you all! My first nod is Taylor Swift. Uh... goddess? Yes. She is so thin! She looked gorg last night! I am obsessed with this dress. It reminds me of a greek goddess type dress. And apparently she did too because her hair goes with her dress so well. Bravo TSwift! Taylor Swift in J. Mendel  Katy Perry in Gucci Everyone is talking about this. No not because of her dress. Because her boobs are just in your face, how do you not talk about them? Nonetheless, I think she lo

Hello New York Fashion Week! Boy oh boy did the designers kick off the season right. As I am still in the process of looking at all the new collections, I just wanted to quickly share one of my favorite designers. I am excited to watch all the designers share their latest collections! We all know ZP for his glamorous red carpet gowns. Well almost all his looks from the Spring 2013 line are red carpet ready. This entire collection screams red carpet. I saw a huge trend in this line: ball gowns, accents on the hips and mermaid cuts. I could see so many celebs wearing these dresses. I love the prints he designed. They look like abstract flowers bunched in a group and distrust throughout the dress. A lot of the same colors were used: red, navy, green and cream. Here are some of my favorites! Love this print. Check out the little peplum/tutu at the waist! Amazing color for the Spring! Gorg.  Can't you see someone wearing this as their wedding dress? So

Marc Jacobs x Diet Coke

Image
(picture via Google.com) I'm so excited to hear that Marc Jacobs has been announced as the new creative director for Diet Coke 2013. He is collaborating with Diet Coke to design a creative, fun and whimsical can for their 30th anniversary celebration. Fashion and soda? Heck yes! That is such a creative idea to combine the two. Designer soda cans? I mean that sounds cool right?!  It is told to be launched in European stores next month. The designs reference iconic looks during a recent decade in fashion. These designs are mixed with Jacob's signature prints. There will be 3 different cans, bottles and ad campaigns.  Here is a sneak peak at one of them! How hunky is MJ?! And he is almost 50!! I hope they launch in US! I would definitely get it! And keep one for a momentum.  Check out this fun video ad they did. Rockin' that skirt Marc!  Happy 30th anniversary Diet Coke! xo, Trisha

Polka Dots Dots Dots

Hey hey readers. I hope everyone is recovering well from the Superbowl weekend. Even though the 49ers lost, they played a really good game. Now that football is over... we can focus on hockey!! :)  Anyways, here is my OOTD! I've been lovin' how sunny and nice it has been this past week. Still a little chilly but no rain! Yay! Sign of an early Spring? Maybe. I had time to hang out at the lake for a little bit and enjoy the sunshine. There were so many people there doing the same! But take in the sun while it's here folks. Today I decided to wear my denim polka dot shirt from Gap. I love this print. It's not too overdone. I styled it by tucking in the bottom and keeping the sleeves long instead of cuffing them. It's so cute and so on trend for the up-coming spring season. I feel like you could really dress this up or dress it down. Throw a blazer over it and you could wear it to the office. Dress down and wear it casually for an everyday look.
