Summer Blue

Summer has arrived ya'll! Except today where it's cloud and sprinkling?! What the heck right? I got to shoot this this past weekend though! It was so nice and sunny and all of a sudden, today is freezing. I apologize for not posting as much as. I will be getting back into routine soon though!

I love wearing dresses in the summer. They are so light and easy to wear, especially in warm weather. Skirts, maxi's and short dresses are so popular right now. I've had this dress for a while now and decided to wear it for a hot day.You may remember this dress from my Disney In Real Life post. My friend wore it has Cinderella. 


My dress, from Forever 21, is so comfortable! It is two layers, a rayon slip dress with chiffon over it. I was really drawn to color. It's such a bright, royal blue. The gathering in the middle gives the dress more structure. I usually wear a belt with this but I totally forgot it!


I like that this dress can be dressed up or dressed down. This would work great for an event or going out, but it would also look nice just for a casual day. For nights out, I would just throw on a cute jacket. 

I decided to take it casual today by pairing the dress with brown booties with a heel from Gap. I didn't want to go with a plain heel because the dress is pretty simple.
