Layer It Up

Tunic & Long Sleeve: Free People // Pants: H&M // Shoes: Sam Edelman // Necklace: Urban Outfitters

One way to keep warm in the Winter is to layer. It's a great way to style different pieces to make it work as one. A lot of people say it's hard to look cute in Winter clothes. I think if you style it the right way, you can be cute and warm! Luckily here in California, it doesn't get freezing until the night. So in the daytime, you can be more casual and not all bundled up.

I layered two lightweight tunics. The white layer is actually more like a dress on me but it is really thin and sheer so I put a long sleeve tunic over it. These two pieces are great worn separately so I thought I would try them together to see what it would look like. I wanted to make sure the white tunic would show through so I knotted one side just to play with it a little bit.

It felt a little plain up top so I added a statement necklace. I love the coins and all the details around it. I also wanted to add some color so I went with these maroon pants. The pants fit like leggings so it worked well with the longer tunics. For shoes, I went simple with brown fringe booties with a heel. This outfit definitely needed the height!
